Bonsai in Progress

Hello!

Today I would like to share something that I have been working on!

A few months ago I bought a bonsai tree growing kit from Walmart. Right now I am waiting for the included seeds, which are Japanese Maple seeds, to germinate and sprout into tiny saplings. Once the sapling grows to the top of the miniature green house as shown, then I need to transplant it into a bigger pot! Then I let it grow until it’s the right size to be pruned into a bonsai tree. pretty neat! Hopefully the seeds are not duds. My cat also knocked it over a couple of times too… oops.

A Little Boredom…

Hello people! I hope if you somehow find this, you are doing well. On this blog, I have not posted anything since the ending of last year. I haven’t really had anything to post though, and it’s been sort of boring (Hince the title of this post). I have also been sleeping a lot more for some reason which I hope is a habit I will break once the warm summer weather comes to my area. I have also not had the motivation to draw or be creative as much which sucks, I think I only made one or two drawings in the past couple of months. Perhaps I need to find a new hobby or something to fulfill my attention. Maybe even another job. who knows.

PS: I have been watching anime recently which is weird because I used to never watch anime. The one I am watching right now is “Sailor Moon” its a pretty good show to shut your mind off to.

A Great Year

I feel like I am talking to no one here, but I don’t really care. perhaps it may be better that way anyhow.

Since this year is ending, would like to say that I feel like this was one of the best years of my entire life. Looking back, I did a lot of awesome things with a lot of awesome people. I have so many great people in my life who I feel genuinely appreciate me around and that’s something in my life I never have had. The struggle I went through those previous years around were worth it. I am the happiest I have ever been. To the people who helped me along the way, Thank you.

Fortune Beholder

Last night after posting the bug candy thing, I was thinking about making some origami and posting it. I had the idea of making a beholder from Dungeons and Dragons in the “fortune wookie” style that I have done before. Here is the result of my endeavor:

Not my best, but I would say it’s pretty good for not doing this kind of stuff for a while. A bunch of people who saw it after I made it really liked it as well.

What do you think? Should I post more origami?

Bug Candy

Hello, its been a couple months since my last post. I want to post more, truly.

With that said I have something cool to share with you, if anyone is even still around. I was at a candy store and found this:

Its a cricket inside a lollipop! Super cool right? I bought three of them and plan to give them to some of my friends for Christmas. Hopefully they are not grossed out or anything.

Have you ever seen weird bug candy like this? (I know I’m talking to no one here but…)

Taco Cat Goat Cheese Pizza: A Fun Game

I like a good card game. Games you play with a deck of cards like rummy or even uno are some of my favorites. At a picnic I recently went to I was introduced to a new card game known as “Taco Cat Goat Cheese Pizza”. Its a really cool game and we had lots of fun. I even bought the game from my local game store. I highly suggest it. – Firk

Some Drawings (and also more Beyblade)

Hello anyone out there! I was wondering what to post on this blog when I remembered all the cool drawings I have. New Beyblade (Sword Dran 3-60F)

Hello again people. Firk here. Something I have been following recently is that there is a new series of Beyblades released, called Beyblade X. When I was a kid, I always wanted to get into Beyblades as they seemed cool. Now I am an adult and have my own money I can fool around and buy silly things I wasn’t able to. Looking into tournaments and rules for actually playing Beyblade can get quite complex too (there’s a whole World Beyblade Organization too). Perhaps I can tournament near me, if not some friends?

Now for the Beyblade I bought, ‘Sword Dran 3-60F’. there are Four different battle styles of Beyblade and this one falls under the ‘Attack’ Style, meaning it is built to knock an adversaries Bey out of the arena. it is comprised of three parts, the blade, ratchet, and bit which can all be switched with parts from other Beyblades you get, effecting how it operates in battle. the metal from the blade has a nice weight to it too that I like.

Long Time No See…

Hello Super Folders and other folk. It is me, an older version of the one and only Firk. A lot has happened since I lasted posted on this blog. Won some, lost some, but hey that’s life, isn’t it? I’m happy to see the Origami Yoda community Still kicking around and inspiring the youth of this world to take a piece of paper and get weird with it. I may begin to post on this blog again about things I like or find interesting, probably unrelated to paper finger puppets and that shenanigans (although I might dabble in that field of art from time to time) Looking forward to the future of this blog.
